Job Purpose
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure company facilities, residential apartments, commercial buildings, and public areas are consistently maintained in a clean, safe, and welcoming condition. The role ensures adherence to housekeeping standards, efficient deployment of staff, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Operations
• Supervise day-to-day housekeeping activities.
• Assign daily work schedules.
• Ensure all cleaning assignments are completed on time.
• Inspect completed work and maintain quality standards.
2. Staff Supervision
• Monitor attendance and punctuality.
• Train new housekeeping employees.
• Coach staff on cleaning techniques and customer service.
• Recommend disciplinary or recognition actions where appropriate.
3. Quality Control
• Conduct routine inspections of rooms, offices, washrooms, corridors, staircases, elevators, and common areas.
• Ensure compliance with cleaning standards.
• Correct deficiencies immediately.
4. Inventory Management
• Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Issue cleaning materials to staff.
• Maintain inventory records.
• Report shortages to the Housekeeping Manager.
5. Health and Safety
• Ensure safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Enforce PPE requirements.
• Report safety hazards immediately.
• Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.
6. Customer Service
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests.
• Resolve minor customer complaints.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Housekeeping Manager.
7. Reporting
• Prepare daily housekeeping reports.
• Report maintenance defects.
• Maintain attendance and inspection records.

Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management,
• Housekeeping certification is an added advantage.

Experience
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in housekeeping.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory position.
• Experience in hotels, residential properties, commercial buildings, or property management is preferred.

Working Conditions (Applicable to Both Roles)
• May be required to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
• Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, and inspections across multiple properties.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Required to wear appropriate company uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE).
