The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and presentation throughout the apartment. The role ensures that guest rooms, and other assigned spaces are cleaned and maintained to provide a comfortable and pleasant experience for guests while complying with hotel policies and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to management standards and procedures.
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest supplies and amenities.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas.
- Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report defects promptly.
- Ensure all rooms are ready before guest check-in times.
- Laundry & Linen Management
- Collect, sort, and manage dirty linens and laundry.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of clean linens and housekeeping supplies.
- Monitor linen inventory and report shortages or damages.
Guest Service
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with guests.
- Support efforts to ensure excellent guest satisfaction.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Report lost and found items immediately according to housekeeping policy.
- Ensure compliance with security procedures and emergency protocols.
- Inventory & Equipment
- Monitor cleaning materials and supplies and report replenishment needs.
- Ensure housekeeping equipment is properly handled and stored after use.
- Report damaged equipment or tools for repair or replacement.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of Senior High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Certificate or training in Hospitality or Housekeeping is an advantage.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or hotel operations is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
