Job Purpose
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all housekeeping operations to ensure that residential, commercial, and retail properties are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and presentation. The role ensures efficient utilization of resources, compliance with health and safety standards, and delivery of exceptional service to tenants, clients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
• Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Plan and oversee daily housekeeping operations across all company properties.
• Ensure all common areas, offices, apartments, washrooms, and public spaces are maintained to company standards.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure quality and cleanliness standards are achieved.
• Ensure prompt response to housekeeping requests and complaints.
2. Leadership and Supervision
• Develop work schedules and allocate staff efficiently.
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement performance improvement initiatives.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and customer-focused service delivery.
3. Quality Assurance
• Establish quality control systems.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections.
• Ensure housekeeping standards align with hospitality and property management best practices.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and implement corrective actions.
4. Inventory and Asset Management
• Manage inventory of cleaning chemicals, equipment, linen, uniforms, and consumables.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning materials.
• Minimize waste and control operational costs.
• Recommend replacement of damaged equipment.
5. Health, Safety and Compliance
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
• Ensure proper handling of hazardous chemicals.
• Lead emergency cleaning and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain compliance with environmental and sanitation regulations.
6. Budget and Cost Control
• Prepare departmental budgets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
7. Customer Service
• Maintain excellent relationships with tenants, clients, and visitors.
• Resolve housekeeping-related complaints promptly.
• Ensure excellent presentation of all managed properties.
8. Reporting
• Prepare weekly and monthly housekeeping reports.
• Report maintenance defects requiring technical attention.
• Track KPIs and departmental performance.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional certification in Housekeeping

Experience
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in housekeeping or facilities management.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience managing residential, commercial, or hospitality facilities.
